Alzheimer’s Disease Support Groups for family members and friends of people with Alzheimer’s disease to share feelings, concerns, information and support.

2nd Wednesday of the month from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at the Alzheimer's Association, 264 Cottage Street.

Al Anon Family Groups for anyone who feels his or her life is, or has been, affected by a problem drinker.

Substance Abuse Support Group
This program is designed to identify elders struggling with substance abuse issues, and who may be in need of intervention. A certified substance abuse clinician will begin an intervention by visiting the elder at home, and coordinate appropriate services for treatment. In addition, a group meets weekly to provide elders with a combination of support, education, socialization and therapy. Past group topics have included exercise and recovery, loneliness, nutrition, gratitude, and frustration. The group will be followed by a meal, free of charge. The group is facilitated by Sharon Britt, LCSW, and Patricia Murphy, LPN.
